These words were on a bronze plaque on the landing between the two levels
of stairs...going to the high school floor.
I've never forgotten them...

A note from Dave Simmons...Class of 1968...
"The picture of the man plowing snow with the horse would
be Dick Barringer . I remember him well plowing many streets..The picture was taken on 2nd street. Dick is plowing the sidewalk
on the West side of the street. My Uncle Norm Simmons house is the 3rd house down (in stone)."
