From the 1953 yearbook..
Continued growth in the well-being of West
Branch High School has again been assured by the wise management and leadership of Superintendent Chester F. Surline...in
his fourth year as chief administrator. Because of his untiring efforts and genial sense of humor, he has gained respect and
commendations throughout the student body.

Mr. Miner has been with West Branch High
School for six years. Soft voiced with forceful meaning, he serves as both principal and Student Council adviser. He
ranks very high throughout the student body and is known not only for his fairness and cheering spirit, but also for his dependability.

We, the graduating class of West Branch High School
of 1953, take great pleasure in dedicating this 1953 yearbook to our class sponsors Mr. Alan Murray and Mrs. Lucile MacArthur.
From the beginning of our senior year, it has been Mr. Murray who has stood by
the class helping us to overcome each difficulty as it arose.
Although Mrs. MacArthur has only been our sponsor for a short time, her great help
has truly been appreciated by each member of the class.
