Minutes

Called to Order At 6:25 P.M.

Welcome by President Ray Valley (1950) and invocation by Vice President Richard Hamilton (1959).

Dinner

We honor our veterans with music by Joel Sheltrown (1965) “God Bless The USA” and a message from Ray Valley about our armed forces and their service to this country.

President Ray Valley introduced the following celebrating classes.

Minutes of 2009 read and approved.

Treasurer’s report of 2009 read and approved.

In 2010, 15 $300 scholarships were awarded to graduates of Ogemaw Heights High School.

Richard Hamilton gave a report on the West Branch High School Alumni Association Scholarship Program.We have awarded 73 scholarships from 2002 to 2010 in the amount of $25,300.00.

Nancy Rea Griffin gave a report on the Northwest Michigan Endowment Fund, West Branch High School Alumni-Orioles Forever.

Richard Hamilton gave a report on the refurbishing of the class pictures. ($1848 as of May 29,2010)

A motion was made by Cliff Vansickle (1949), seconded by Amos Graves (1943), to change the terms of office for the officers from 2 years to 4 years.

The motion was unanimously approved.

Darlene Clemens Winslow (1954), chairperson of the nominating committee presented the following slate of officers for the next 4 years. (2011-2014)

 Motion seconded and approved unanimously.

A gift of a clock with a plaque was presented to Josephine Bailey Neubecker (1950),  for her years of service as treasurer for our association. It was presented by President Ray Valley.

It was suggested that recognition of Lois Huck, a former teacher, be made for writing the LOYALTY SONG…
